据有关媒体6月24日报道，6月23日晚，实皆省昌乌镇（Chaung-U）“焦亚片区”（Kyaung Ywa）遭驻扎在当地的缅军炮袭，焦亚片区的两名妇女被炸死，死者被确认为焦亚片区的居民“杜包”（Daw Pauk）和她的女儿“玛莫莫”（Ma Moe Moe）。
当地居民表示：“炮袭大概在晚上9点左右，共发射了7枚炮弹，炮弹落入了焦亚片区的居民房屋上，除两名妇女被炸死外也有居民被炸伤。”
居民补充表示：“6月18日在昌乌镇平泰村，一名骑摩托男子被当地缅军开枪打死。”
昌乌镇人民保卫军（PDF）表示，6月14日上午，缅军及其情报组织“漂绍梯”（Pyu Saw Htee）在“陶钦莱”（Taw Kyaung Lay）村纵火烧毁了100余间村民房屋，还抢走居民家中较为贵重的财物，目前昌乌镇共有11个村庄被缅军纵火烧毁。
