7月3日，敏昂莱生日当天，缅甸多个民间组织高喊“再聚征兆及仰光罢工”的口号在仰光省举行示威活动，期间，还焚烧了敏昂莱的图像。示威活动结束后，缅军在湄尼贡（Myaynigone）巴士站和三桥区周边地区以参加示威活动为由大肆逮捕身穿黑色衣服的青年及在公交车站等车的青年。
据当地居表示，“我的两个朋友中有一人身穿黑色衣服，昨天晚上没有回家，两人都没有参加示威活动，但至今日两人都失去了联系”。
据了解，当天，基础教育学生和青年协会（Akala-Central）、缅甸工会联盟（CTUM）成员、缅族青年网络、Thingangyun青年协会（YAT）、青年联盟及仰光校友会等举行了示威活动。
