7月18日，缅军政权期间的军警部队与阿拉干军（AA）在孟都镇北部爆发近半个小时的冲突，冲突期间缅军警死伤惨重，包括一名警长在内14人投降。
据悉，4名直接被击毙在军车内，14名军警在冲突期间放下了武器投降阿拉干军。同时阿拉干军还缴获一批武器弹药，包括2支受枪及24支步枪及其他军用物资。
阿拉干军发言人凯督卡表示，此次袭击是对缅军空袭克伦邦AA营地的回应。据了解，遭到袭击的是包括缅军及边防部队在内的混合部队。
7月4日，缅军两架喷气式飞机无故对阿拉干军位于克伦邦缅-泰边境的一个营地进行空袭，造成阿拉干军6名成员丧生，多人受伤。
