当地居民消息，冲突地点位于“德因”村附近，持续了约半个小时左右。司机表示，由于两军冲突前往孟都北部的汽车被迫停止。
据悉，缅军政权在7月15日举行的边境会议上命令部队进军孟都镇北部开展军事活动，并指示第7集团军全面增兵，至7月17日两军发生了试探性的摩擦。
据了解，在7月15日在边境会议中，缅军政权还要求国内外非政府组织暂停对孟都北部的所有援助。
