Saifuddin added that as an ASEAN member state, it is important to support the people of Myanmar in terms of morale. Currently, only the Myanmar military regime is unilaterally recognized. The Myanmar military regime has repeatedly urged ASEAN not to engage with the National Unity Government (NUG).
